PAT Testing

Portable Appliance Testing from Surrey Electrical Safety

PAT Testing

Landlord Legal Obligations

Anyone who lets residential accommodation such as houses, flats and holiday homes as a business is required by law to ensure the equipment that they supply as part as there tenancy is safe.

A record should be made of all the goods supplied as part of the tenancy agreement and of any inspections made on these items. These appliances normally include fridge freezers, washing machines, dishwashers, toasters, kettles, televisions, lamps, vacuum cleaners etc.

Any portable appliances you provide should have the CE marking (which is the manufacturers claim that it meets the requirements of European Law).

How we work with Landlords

Surrey Electrical Safety recommends that all portable appliances for rental properties should be tested at change of occupancy/annually whichever is less.

Our local, fully qualified engineer will carry out thorough safety checks and will ensure that all your electrical appliances are in fully working order and safe to use by carefully inspecting every component.

Client Feedback

Surrey Electrical Safety has carried out the PAT Testing for a number of our rental properties on an annual basis for many years now. We have always been extremely happy with the service provided and would recommend them to other businesses with ease.
